International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD)
Astute worked with ISCD to develop a reimbursement Web site plans.iscd.org.
The site contains state-specific insurance and billing information and
helps referring healthcare providers to determine whether a bone density
test is likely to be a covered benefit. The site also assists help bone
densitometry centers in billing Medicare, insurance companies and health
plans. For each state users can access:
- Names, phone numbers and email addresses of the individual state
health care carriers
- Criteria set by the carriers for performance of bone density testing,
- Appropriate procedural codes for the specific bone density testing
device used in the office
- Diagnostic codes for the disease process in which the procedure
is being utilized
The site's administrative area allows ISCD staff and state advocates to
enter and edit state information.
