American Gastroenterological Association (AGA)

Since 1992 the AGA has developed and presented their Gastroenterological Teaching Project (GTP) on CD-ROM with an accompanying text. In 2003, AGA contracted with Astute to develop a Web site for the GTP project www.gastroslides.org. The Web site includes the ability for users to review the slide units, including the Microsoft PowerPoint® slides and their notes. Using the shopping cart feature, users can purchase either CD-ROMs or downloads of the slide units. The site also includes an extensive administrative area allowing AGA to update almost every section of the site and Astute's fulfillment center to mail the CD-ROMs.

We also developed and produced the CD-ROMs. This development included creation of a new design, inclusion of high and low resolution slides, and inclusion of all pertinent material for each slide unit.

The GTP site currently contains seven slide units and one supplement to a unit made available in 2003. AGA plans to add one more unit later this year. The GTP project provides non-dues revenue for AGA.
